My name is Sallyann Reed and I have lived in the lovely market town of Taunton since I was 11 years old. I have two grown up daughters and some say I’m a crazy cat lady. I initially trained many years ago in interior design. Not content with a career in interiors, I felt I needed a new direction to express my creativity. I see floristry as art, like fashion and design, using textures colours and shapes to bring out your personality and style.

Fully trained in all aspects of floristry and giving a professional service to our customers for over the last 15 years, I am experienced at working both in the commercial and independent sector. I am also qualified to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. We specialise in Wedding Flowers, Funeral Tributes and events of all sizes, or just for that beautiful bouquet for someone special, we will ensure everything is perfect.

After an initial complimentary telephone conversation, our wedding consultation service comprises of a face to face consultation, bespoke design service, and a detailed cost proposal – all tailored to you.

Funeral Flowers

At this difficult time, we can at least make choosing, ordering and sending flowers a little easier for you. As seen in our brochure, we have carefully selected some of our beautiful, classic designs from caskets sprays to hearts, posies, crosses and lettering.

Should you require something bespoke or a little out of the ordinary, then we are happy to discuss this with you, by appointment, in the comfort of your own home, or alternately via your chosen funeral home. Once ordered you can have the peace of mind knowing that the flowers you have chosen will be delivered to the undertakers the morning of the funeral and will play a vital part in saying goodbye to your loved one.

Event & Corporate Flowers

It takes vision, creativity, and technical skill to create and maintain event flowers that enhance and embrace the building, and most important it offers the warmest of welcomes.

Restaurants and bars also play an important role in creating a welcoming environment for guests. Not only do they embrace the overall experience, but as with the menu, they can reflect the seasons with exciting displays changing each week. We are dedicated to working closely with each client to achieve and deliver inspiring designs.

If the recipient loves to arrange their own flowers, perhaps a traditional bouquet would be perfect for them. Prices start from £30.00. Delivery prices start from £5.50

The night before the big day when you have your loved ones and bridesmaids together, we can come and spend the evening with you at your home or venue and help you all to arrange your table centres. These flowers will then match the overall theme of the day, and be a fun way for all to spend the evening together.

Local Taunton florist Stems of Taunton is coming up roses and delighted to announce they have been accepted as a full member of the exclusive Good Florist Guide, the gold standard of floristry and the only merit-based guide in the world to the finest florists.

Acknowledged as the ‘little black book’ of the very best British and Irish florists Stems of Taunton were awarded the prestigious accolade by the Guide’s Advisory Panel last month. Owner Sallyann Reed & her Team described themselves as absolutely delighted to have gained recognition for all their hard work and dedication over the last 20 years.

You see, unlike any other directory of florists, no-one can just buy their way in to the Guide. To be part of it, florists undergo a rigorous evaluation process before being approved and invited to join. Stems of Taunton submitted a detailed description of their floristry business, including the range available and services offered as well as images of their business premises, their design work, their team and even the delivery vehicle!
